15% Early-Bird Discount until November 30.
10% Not-So-Early-Bird Discount until December 31

AGES 8-14 Sunday to Friday $625

Our six-day summer sessions for kids ages 8 to 14. Each session is a blend of outdoor adventure, environmental education, faith building, and a whole lot of fun. Campers will have opportunities to experience archery, canoeing, kayaking, corcl (little round boat) games, ropes course, skits, songs, crazy games, crafts, worship, and a whole lot more.

Sound View summer camp offers a safe space for all kids age 8-14. Campers are led by our wonderful camp counselors through an array of adventurous programming throughout their week at camp. We offer picturesque sea views during boating, stomach dropping excitement on our high ropes activities, and laser focus at our archery range. On top of that, we incorporate faith building, arts & crafts, tie dye, field games, campfire and more.

These camps are Christian in nature reflecting the Presbyterian (USA) Church denomination.. Families uncomfortable with Christian camping should consider our non-religious three-day session instead.

At Sound View, we take pride in our rustic facilities. Your camper will sleep in either a “tent cabin” or a classic platform tent. Every camper has a chance to establish their own boundaries and norms for the week, alongside their cabin mates and counselor, ensuring a positive, fun and safe community at camp.

With a capacity of 56 campers, our camp is big enough for your kiddos to make new friends, while maintaining camp friendships from years past. Sound View welcomes everyone to make camp their home away from home.

SUNDAY

Campers spend their Sunday afternoon getting acquainted in with their new bunkmates, cabin leaders, and the camp grounds. We focus on icebreakers, building community norms and picking our activity schedules for the week. Sunday ends with an all camp campfire at the waterfront.

MONDAY through WEDNESDAY

We follow a simple routine for these days at camp. In the morning, we wake up with plenty of time to get ready for our action packed days. We meet in the tent village for a morning gathering - usually some song singing and prayer. All 3 meals will be eaten outside under shady canopies. Your camper has the opportunity to pick their own “progressive” basically, an activity they will gain skill with each day. Last year those were Survival, Sports, Arts and Crafts and Expedition, these may be changed or altered for 2025. Campers do one progressive, two cabin activities and one camper’s choice activity each day. In the afternoon, all campers have a much needed rest period. In the evening, we play a different all camp game each night. We wrap our long days up with a campfire and bedtime routines..

THURSDAY

We make Thursdays (the last full day of camp) really special. This is the only day that everyone at camp is together, all day! We plan all camp events like water Olympics, kangaroo court, dance, Sojourners ceremonies, and closing campfire. Parents can opt to pick up their kids late Thursday night if this is more convenient.

FRIDAY

Fridays are for final goodbyes, packing, and a 9:00 am - 12:00 pm pick up window. During this time, there will be activities and pick-up games on the play field. Parents should be prepared for a car ride home with wonderful stories told.

We can likely accommodate another pickup time that works better for your family, please contact us if this applies to you. Even better, reserve a cabin, RV site, or tent site and continue the fun with the rest of your family over the weekend!

A $100 deposit reserves your child’s place. Balance is due two-weeks prior to the start of the session. Monthly payment plans can be arranged.

Sound View's Leaders In Training (LIT) Program is a one-week program for those going into 10th grade. It is about fun, adventure, and a little responsibility. LITs learn firsthand what it means to be a leader at camp.

LITs arrive on Sunday afternoon and spend a few days getting accustomed to camp and learning some basic skills that they will need to work with a group of active campers. They will learn to supervise archery, assist at the waterfront, help kids harness up at the ropes course, encourage others to appreciate nature, teach arts and crafts, run games, and understand what it means to be a role model.

On Wednesday, LITs are assigned to help with either six-day, or three-day campers., LITs have already helped plan activities and will assist with the program from Wednesday to Friday.

AGES 6-9 Wednesday to Friday $325

This unique 3-day experience is a fantastic way for young people to have great summer fun while learning to become good stewards of the environment.

These camps are secular (non-religious).

Each session focuses on outdoor environmental education. This includes canoeing, kayaking, high ropes, low ropes, archery, outdoor cooking, etc. but also adding in fun, hands-on elements from natural sciences; biology, astronomy, geology, physics, etc. .

Things to know:

  • Your child's counselor is called a "naturalist".

  • At the end of the camp, "junior naturalist" awards will be presented.

  • Camp begins at 10 AM Wednesday and ends at 2:00 pm on Friday.

  • Campers live in the "Lower Lodge" - a comfy bunkhouse with beds, bathrooms, showers, and a snack-kitchen

  • We strive to learn sustainable living by doing.

  • Campers experience many of the same classes presented to schools plus new ones created especially for the summer season.

  • We perform one short service project to make Sound View a little better - possibly weeding out invasive plants and replanting ones that are native.

  • Campers enjoy fun evening (and late-night) activities, games, and campfires.

  • We have but two nights to play with so the naturalists will make each one an amazing experience.

  • Hearty, nutritious meals are served in the dining hall.

We pack an incredible amount of fun and learning into these abbreviated camps and fully expect campers to return home tired - but ready and eager to change the planet for the better.

We can likely accommodate another pickup time that works better for your family, please contact us if this applies to you. Even better, reserve a cabin, RV site, or tent site and continue the fun with the rest of your family over the weekend! Your child's three-day camp staff will be your family camp hosts!
