We are looking for youth (ages 10-14) to help us kick off our spring outdoor environment education (OEE) season. Our staff has been working hard on developing lesson plans, creating program areas, and purchasing supplies and equipment to best teach students about the environment where it is best taught - in the out-of-doors. OEE Camp is a "dress rehearsal" to get ready for the schools that will follow in May and June.
Our four areas of study are - FARM & GARDEN, SAND & SOUND, SURVIVE & THRIVE and FIELD & FOREST. During OEE Camp, we will be teaching a few lessons from each category. We hope to gauge the experiences of each camper and improve where we may.
Meanwhile, the campers will have a blast with hands-on-activities, evening programs, campfires, and great food - all a part of the OEE experience. Accommodations will be in Calvinwood Lodge and the Longhouse. Limit - 30 campers.
We believe this is a super-affordable way to spend a part of Spring Break (for those on the Key Peninsula), but also an opportunity for homeschool families to join in on the experience.
$45 per youth
