Come spend part of your spring break at Sound View! We are looking for youth (ages 9-14) to help us kick off our spring outdoor environmental education (OEE) season. In an action-packed three days, you can expect tons of hands-on activities:
+ learn about marine invertebrates in the tidal zone
+ care for our camp llama, sheep, goats, and chickens
+ plant vegetables in our new camp garden
+ shoot some arrows at our archery range
+ learn to identify the planets and constellations
+ complete teambuilding challenges as a group
+ play all-camp games such as Predator-Prey
+ get to know the names of local plants and trees
+ learn to play a few songs on the ukulele
+ zoom down the zipline at our High Ropes Course
+ sing and eat s'mores around the campfire
+ learn to use a compass and complete an orienteering scavenger hunt
Campers will have fun learning - rain or shine! Meanwhile, they will be treated to tasty food in our dining hall and accommodations in our cozy, heated lodges. The limit is 60 campers, so register early and bring a friend. The cost is $120 per person.
There will be bus transportation to and from this session available from Tacoma and Olympia at no extra cost. Choose which option you would like during the registration process.
