Train to be a summer rover! Rovers are teen volunteers (entering 11th or 12 grade) who help out with programs and other tasks during the weeks of summer camp. The spring training weekends give potential rovers some valuable experience as they help out with the weekend family camp programs. Training will include:
running the waterfront
working the high ropes course
leading archery
organizing and implementing a family arts and crafts activity.
assisting during the farm tour
serving food and washing dishes
being incredibly helpful to the families that visit Sound View
We pay rovers for these weekends so they would be ready to jump into a paid role in the summer, or in the future.
