/I have to echo what all of my family have already said (fellow staffers and campers). I love camp, and I love the family and community that I got to be apart of at camp, I got to witness to a slice of the kingdom of heaven! Camp has had profound impact on my life. There has not been a day in my life that has gone by from when I left camp to now where I don't think about or reflect on, and apply life lessons that I learned, and received at camp.
Camp is a place were god would work though the staff and campers and volunteers. Where god would plant seeds that I personally have seen grown in my self and in the staff, and campers.I have heard parents of the campers talk about how charged there kids were on god, and how that has impacted there life.
Camp thought me how to live a Christ centered life, and I can honestly say that with out the things that I learned at camp, I would not have gotten through a lot of very very difficult times in my life. I am honestly not sure I would still be around if it were not for the what I learned at camp, and the experiences I had at camp, and Christ's teachings.
I sincerely hope (and will pray against camp closing!) that camp is able to stay open, it physically hurts my heart to think about camp closing. God might not live at camp but it is an environment that will help you seek him, and better understand him and his family. The very first thing I thought of when I head the news about camp was Mathew 18:3 "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven"
I have faith that god is not done sound view and the potential lives, that he can change. I know he drastically changed my life at camp, and I know former staffers, and campers whose life it also changed. God has used camp to inspire me, push me, grow me, challenge me, teach me, humble me, and teach me how to live.

Ps. To my fellow staffers and campers, Thank you for sharing camp with me, and bring me into the camp family. I know I have been MIA but I still think about ALL of you often and cherish each and everyone of you. The memories I have of camp are one of my most prized possessions.
