At the heart of Sound View is the summer youth camp experience. At camp, kids can be kids and rejoice in wholesome play, new friends, good food, and fun. From incredible all-camp games, awesome leaders, campfires, archery, orienteering, camp-craft, canoeing, kayaking, ukulele playing and exploring our amazing sandy-beach waterfront. Sound View Camp is THE PLACE you want to be this summer.
Campers are grouped by age - with friends if possible - and can look forward to new adventures as they grow through our program.
In a nutshell: Youth Camp is a week-long program for kids, ages 8 to 14, which focuses on games, activities, and quiet time best done in the out-of-doors.
Arrival/Departure: Camp begins 4:00 pm Sunday, and ends 10:00 am Saturday.
Accommodations: Youth Campers stay in a “tent cabin,” a unique platform tent with a solid roof built over the canvas. There are usually eight campers per cabin, grouped by age, and two leaders. The cabins have cots, loft beds, and mattresses inside. Healthy, hearty food is served “family style” in the dining hall.
Activities: Campers participate in various fun, well-staffed activities by choice, with their cabin group, with friends, or as part of the entire camp. The daily schedule varies to take advantage of the best tides.
